Back with new Bareback Builds (v 0.7.4)


V 0.7.4 (June 20/2024)

Hi, I'm Koy! I'm the new dev, and have been working hard for the past few months de-spaghettifying this game. When I was brought on, the project wouldn't even open, so I'm glad that we've gotten to the point where we can show you that we have been doing work.

This update doesn't add a whole lot of content, but it does change the way many systems work, and how the game looks and feels.

That being said, expect many more updates in the near future, filled with bug fixes, changes, and content updates (like Baxter)

There are a number of known issues with this build, and I'm sure you'll find a way to break the game, but please report the bugs you encounter with the bug reports button found at the bottom of the screen! You'll be hearing back from me after my vacation. Cya soon!

Patch Notes:

•  Temporarily removed Lovense support - This is NOT a permanant change, it was just so broken I could not in good faith release it in its current state. (Yes the button is still there.)

• Reworked most UI menus

• Reworked enemy AI system

• Reworked character physics

• Reworked animation system

• Removed some sloppy game logic that was causing slowdowns (more to come)

• Added new custom handler for game and UI events.

• Nerfed the Hornets - They will now fire in bursts of 3, and then enter a cooldown for 3 seconds)

• Added back enemy Domination (this might be buggy, just warning you)

• Fixed bugs related to enemies disappearing randomly, after sex, and after being hit

• Arenas will now actually animate their walls, and the walls work as intended! No more out of bounds enemies!

• Arena waves are limited to 3 minutes, to counteract any potential out of bounds enemies that may occur.

• NPCs turn to face you, and can have their clothes destroyed. (Though if they die, they will respawn, and you will collide with them. For now you can dash to get through them)

• Gallery should have functional pallete selectors now.

• AND MANY MANY MANY MORE FIXES

There are additions to the camera in the arena. The camera gets stuck if the character is outside the arena walls when they appear. This shouldn't happen, but it does. Monsters frolic in the open arena, the walls stand and shock, the character is on the left, outside the walls of the arena, the camera dangles next to the walls. :)

And another bug is related to the NPC merchant. Sometimes dialogue selection lines do not appear, and as a result it is impossible to exit the dialogue and you have to restart the level. What’s interesting is that this happens in certain arenas, no matter how many times you restart the level, but at this level the merchant will always be bugged and dialogue with him will spoil the passage of the level. For me it was Jungle, levels 2 and 3.

PS All monsters in battle are easily passable, except for bees! Bees are an eternal problem! They are 2-3 difficulty levels higher than ordinary monsters because of their shots, which constantly knock you out! Perhaps it is still worth slowing down their projectiles or limiting their flight radius? :)

Sorry about that camera bug! I'll be looking into it alongside the other arena bugs.

The NPC merchant bug isn't one I've encountered yet either. I'll be giving that a look too, it may have something to do with a prefab in the arenas.

I've already nerfed the wasps actually! I have noticed that they're really annoying, so I plan on nerfing them further.

The main bug at the moment is the arena camera! Half the time, which is very common! The camera in the arena is not behaving correctly! Either he gets stuck in a random place, so that the character and enemies are not visible, or he cannot move to the left side of the arena, and some of the enemies have to be hit blindly! It's not always possible to lure them out.

Sometimes the arena freezes in a state where there are no enemies and the arena does not work! Perhaps this is due to enemies outside the arena walls who were thrown back by the wall but not killed, but this requires verification!

Another small bug is that the character animation sometimes gets stuck when he flies in one jumping pose for a while, a few seconds after landing everything goes away, so the bug is minor and not dangerous.

Otherwise the update is simply awesome! The game works much more dynamically! Fixed a bug with the behavior of enemies from version 0.7.3, when the start of NSFW scenes did not work normally. :)

The Arena should automatically move to the next wave after about 3 minutes, to avoid softlocking your game. I'm still adjusting the arena wall placements as well! They were fixed late in this update's development cycle, but hopefully I'll have that all fixed soon. Thank you for your bug report! I'm glad you're enjoying this update :)

There is a proposal to hang a visible timer in the arena with a countdown of these three minutes, so that the player understands that the process is in progress, and does not wonder whether the game has frozen or not. :) It's psychologically more comfortable. And if something goes wrong, you wait for the timer to end rather than restarting the level. :)

That timer was added very very late in this update, to help fix issues with softlocks. I included it in the patch notes, but do intend to add a visible timer sometime this month.

Goddamn, excited for further updates. I'm still getting some glitches, like the end-level portals soft-locking my game, and sometimes the arena wall animation locks my camera at a random point of the stage. Plus other glitches from other comments, definitely still a couple kinks to be fixed, but I can't wait to see where this goes!

The arena camera bug is known, and is being worked on as I fix other issues regarding the arenas. The end-level portals were not known, and I'll be looking into it! Thank you for letting me know! :)

Game crash  on main menu 

Ack! This only appears to be happening on some computers. I'm actively looking into this. If you could send over your crash reports, It'd be greatly appreciated! I'm planning on posting a guide on how to do that soon. Please keep in mind that this issue was likely present prior to me joining development.

Soon! I'm working to get the major bugs fixed, and the game playable. Baxter is going to have new mechanics for me to implement, and I want to make sure I'm building on top of something reliable. There's a roadmap available (I believe)
