Greetings Barebackers! 

This update we are releasing an early access version of sex toy integration for all the sex scenes in BBS! The full cross promotion will launch in April, but the functionality is ready to play with ingame!


What is Lovense?

A special brand of sex toys that sync up both with your phone and several popular NSFW games, synced up to gameplay and sharable with your friends to torment you while you go for that Victory Royale high score.

Baxter Preview!

With Jade's sex scenes matching the same number as Verge and Gen, we are underway animating Baxter! We are going to experiment with an all new animation method and gameplay style, separating Baxters upper body from his lower body animations to allow him to turn, aim and shoot at the same time, similar to Metal Slug and other platform shooters.

We would like to finalize BBS and have a stable version with all playable characters finished within the next few months so that we can transition into the production of Amorous 2 later this year. I doubt it does since there has been such a long gap between updates, but does this game work with the lovense solace at all? It seems like next to nothing works for it still

Dang. I figured honestly since I'm pretty sure the game is just dead at this point, tried looking at the discord that is linked in the patreon and not even a single discussion room or anything for the game, so I'm guessing they are just trying to sweep it under the rug at this point? Kinda sad though that it is still advertised  so close to the top especially by lovense as compatible games if this is just completely true at this point

It was spontaneous, but I found the cause of the problem that prevents the game from starting up to the initial screen, I have a laptop and 2 video cards from AMD and an integrated Intel, I disabled the AMD video card and the game was finally able to load the initial screen for me, unfortunately turning off the INTEL video card and turning on AMD does not solve the problem of starting the game, but only turning off the AMD video card, the INTEL video card is not powerful enough, so the game gives out 2 fps...

Long story short, I feel like I'm back in 2010.

I might have found something based on the information provided there is a very large game manager script that exists in the intro. It appears that for graphics cards that contain the text "Intel" anywhere in their name, anti aliasing is disabled and the graphics quality is set to Good. Where graphics cards without the word "Intel" are set to Ultra quality and Anti Aliasing is enabled. Even more strange is that both Good and Ultra graphics quality use entirely different render pipelines. Frankly I don't know what idiot set this up or why different card manufactures are using completely different render pipelines. But I assume it was more than likely done incorrectly and so I will try commenting this out. And we will  see in the next build if it solves everyone's problems.

The code I have written for the past 1.5 years (not 2) was built on top a rats nest of previously written code going back over 5 years. Don't blame the guy who was hired at the end to come in and build the roof for the house collapsing when the foundation was not done correctly. Had I known the state of the project when I first joined I would have advised scrapping the entire thing to start fresh. And then you would be in the complete right to blame the code on me. But the code which is causing issues is not mine. Its hard to read through, functions can be anywhere from 400 to 800 lines of code long to do something as simple as "take damage" and it is like wandering through a maze without direction trying to understand how some of it was intended to work as I can't ask the previous developers how or why they did something. Or what they were thinking

You forcibly set the quality of graphics for each brand of video cards, while not bothering yourself that video cards can be of different capacities, for 2 years you did not make "SAVE MODE" which is available in almost many games so that if something goes wrong, the player and the developers could understand what the problem was, while in the game itself I did not find the normal graphics settings.

Dude, this is either development sabotage or I can’t say with censorship words.

My guy I did not manually set the quality of the graphics based on the model of the video card used. Why would I do something that stupid? There is about 20,000 lines of code or more throughout the entire project and most of all pre existing code is indecipherable. And I dont have access to the previous developers to explain to me their thought process when they wrote it. and they left zero documentation or code comments to explain it either.

Didn't the last some devs have like constant updates for months a few of yrs ago with hotfixs btwn?That sounds like a deathmarch (i dont work IT but it sounds like one). Doubt those devs had time to breathe or code neatly.  I'd guess at that rate you need to make sacrifices to put out a working game every month. This is why patreon games take months only put out fixes and dummy small patches but this game churned out build after fucking build at a harsh rate way back..

I think all sides needs to chill a bit and get some prespective. Makin games is a process and shit happens. Bitching to the devs about why its not good enough yet and being dramatic wont fix shit.

I think this is a valid perspective. Making games is hard. and this is my first professional gig job where I was dropped into it and had to figure it out without direction by myself. I may have over reacted. I am merely trying to help people understand that I was given a rats nest of code to untangle. With which I have probably screwed up many times along the way

You have a lot of nerve insulting coworkers or previous developers or w/e. You and Jasonafex have been releasing broken build for 2 year now according to people herein the posts. Most of the claims about optimizing being false as the game got worse under your watch. You insult someone for one part of maybe bad code while your builds keep getting more and more broken with your work and your oversight. Does that make you 2 idiots too or the rest of your team? Do you deserve to be insulted for working hard and messing up? not hard to assume that everyone who worked this game workedas best they could, just as the whole team did including you, so does that make you idiots too? I get this is small time and not a AAA studio but I do work in the industry and if I had someone under me who spoke about others on my or other projects past or present like this I'd fire them on the spot. The game used to work a year ago according to others. Now it don't. you are the lead developer and do most of the work I assume. you oversee everything? You released the build? But you shift blame. Its very simple. The game worked a year or two ago. I doesn't now. Under your updates, code, and lead. Claiming "outdated code" after saying you removed it and insulting others is childish and as kaz put it "highly unprofessional."

A real pro apologies for the inconvenience, does the best they can, and admits when they cannot do any better, and moves aside for someone who can if necessary. They dont throw other team people who worked hard too under the buss when shit gets hard

It is clear to me that nothing I say will convince you that I am and have been working very hard and doing my best to resolve all problems and fix all of the bugs. I could if you prefer just ignore the comments instead of having to justify my job every 5 minutes to people. And then everyone will be upset that their comments are not being seen. But it would certainly be a lot less stressful on me. I am not a PR guy. I am not a people person. I write code. why do you think I work in software? If you feel that I have insulted other developers that was not my intention, but there is good and objectively bad code. And I have seen every textbook case of objectively bad code on this project.

I checked  with 2 versions 32x and 64x, and noticed that the game eats up a huge amount of RAM at the start of the launch, literally at 32X it took more than 3 GB of RAM in more than 1 second, and at 64x more than 6 RAM, which in my opinion is not adequate at all as even GTA 5 conditionally requires less than 6-8 GB of RAM.

In my opinion, the memory leak is obvious, many games on the  unity suffer from this.

We've done a whole lot of things to optimize. I'm running out of ideas of things to try tbh and idk why its so resource intensive when Ive already culled 80% of the old outdated code. we've optimized the audio and artwork. the intro video. So I'm not sure what else to do

Who the fuck is still supporting this game??? why are they making 6 grand a month? this game is broken and will never be fixed. it has too many issues and should be rebuilt from the ground up. that's the only way it will have a chance of working.

The game does not start in principle, even on the loading screen it just crashes and everything is without errors, or it freezes.

I fully fit the requirements of the game.

I am not sure what to say. I am the only developer left on the project. Plus some new hires who just joined. The builds run on my machine and in the unity editor. On Jason's computer when he tests. I dont know why so many people are having performance issues. I dont know how to fix something that isn't broken for me. The game has plenty of bugs yes. Being unable to start is not one of them I have experienced.

Bull shit dude...Tired of being nice and going to tell you this straight: You've used this excuse time after time after time again. If you don't know but, theres a CLEAR ISSUE amongst your user base, its your job as the DEV, or Jasons job as the HEAD to figure out what the fuck is going on instead of releasing these falsified updates that only bot accounts are saying "works fine for me". 

Get ppls specs, pause the game and rebuild from the ground up, give us YOUR specs. make a vid to show off the development, but hiding online behind comments vomiting the same excuse over and over, and also showing your sheer lack in computer knowledge is down right insulting, and highly unprofessional. 

if you have a legit job as a coder and this is what you were doing, you'd be fired on the spot for not correctly doing YOUR JOB. ive been in discord servers with other games who take the time to gather multitudes of info to figure what could be going wrong with the user base.

option two: Quit....cause you arent helping not a single damn person.

I dont know if you realized there is currently a job opening as I am the one one left still working on the game. You are perfectly welcome to come help out since you seem to think this is an easy problem to solve. Instead you'd rather sit there slinging insults at the one person who's been trying to hold this entire thing together for nearly 2 years. Would love to but already have a job as a data analysis which why i say what i said and where it comes from. Also i never said it was easy not once in that whole rant did i say it was "easy", whats "easy" is the ability of deduction and the steps used to take it which have been severly lacking in both your department and Jason's. You are held responsible for your actions, and excuses don't make the answers happen, action does and reaching out does. The crew i work with, if they cant figuer out whats going wrong they ask questions, gather info, and resolve the problem before continuing any further data inquiries. Pushing something out thats bound to have problems, on top of something that has problems is going to create more problems, simple fact. If its so hard and you are the only one working on it, YOU really need to evaluate what you are working on and ask is it worth it? Cause it sounds like your boss Jason doesnt give two shits, and you can only come up with excuse after excuse cause nothing is getting done. With such a low amount of ram (probably DDR3). Even Chrome might crash on your machine. I did tested on a low end machine i7-960 and if you got 8 GB ram DDR3. It'll be fine.

what is your specs?, my computer is a school laptop, the game runs and only can enter main menu and character selection with 3 fps, later the game crashes on start the game with high amount of RAM

I’m continuously supporting this project since 2020 and so far I haven’t seen single build that was even remotely not-complete-clusterfuck. So honestly I wouldn’t really worry what’s planned 2035 destination for this game… I could probably count on fingers builds that didn’t have absolutely catastrophic failures like player soft locking, scenes not working, AI not working, controls randomly not working after scenes etc etc… It’s wild ride roller coaster XD

I mean I actually find it kind of impressive how many thing can go so wrong with build yet still it gets shipped.
