Amorous 2 Launcher – User Guide
The Amorous 2 Launcher is your all-in-one tool for installing, updating, and playing Amorous 2 without any manual file management. It automatically connects to our public release repository and keeps both the game and the launcher itself up to date.
Getting Started
- Download the Launcher
- From our itch.io page, download the ZIP file for your operating system:
- Windows →

- macOS →
Amorous2Launcher_MacOS.zip

- From our itch.io page, download the ZIP file for your operating system:
- Extract the ZIP
- Windows: Right-click → Extract All… and choose a folder.
- macOS: Double-click the ZIP to extract it into a folder.
- Run the Launcher
- Windows: Double-click
Amorous2Launcher.exe
. - macOS: Double-click
Amorous2Launcher.app
(you may need to allow it to run the first time in System Settings → Privacy & Security).
- Windows: Double-click
Using the Launcher
When you open the launcher:
- If the game is not installed, you’ll see an Install button. Click it to download and install the latest version.
- If an update is available, you’ll see an Update button. Click it to get the newest release.
- If you’re up to date, the button will say Play — click to launch the game.
- If you’re offline, you can still click Play (Offline) to start your currently installed version.
The launcher:
- Downloads game updates directly from the official public repository.
- Automatically extracts and sets up the files in its storage folder.
- Shows you the version you have installed.
Launcher Self-Update
The launcher can also update itself:
- If a new launcher version is detected, you’ll see a message and a button to update.
- On update:
- The launcher downloads the new version.
- Closes itself.
- Replaces its own application file (
.exe
or.app
) with the new one. - Restarts automatically.
Where the Game is Installed
- Windows: The game is stored inside the launcher’s data folder under
…\AppData\LocalLow\Jasonafex Games\Amorous2Launcher/Amorous2
. - macOS: The game files are stored inside the launcher’s sandboxed persistent data folder: Users/<YourUser>/Library/ApplicationSupport/Jasonafex Games/Amorous2Launcher/Amorous2.
Uninstalling the Game
Click the Uninstall button in the launcher to completely remove the game files. The launcher itself will remain so you can reinstall later.

Mac launcher doesn't work for linux. Running the windows version through wine crashes after pressing play
wow, you got really advanced...from 2d to 3d and now your game has its own launcher
For anyone else with these issues, just click download now to be taken to the correct page https://jasonafex.itch.io/amorous-2#download [They forgot the download part after the # in the post] or copy this article's page address into the itch.io desktop launcher and click install.

There's no guide for Linux
When I click the Launcher link it says
We couldn't find your page
Go to itch.io
Whenever I try to launch it, it simply says "Unavailable
